The context

We are an independent innovation lab in Berlin. We work at the intersection of art and technology: characters, stories, sound and objects for children, made by artists and engineers together.

Young children meet stories through pictures, voices and sounds long before they can read. We want to understand what makes a character and a story work for them, so that we design with evidence, not guesswork.

Who it’s for

  • Master's students in media, education, psychology, child development or design research
  • Ideally with experience of, or interest in, research with young children and families

What we’d make together

  • A study design with families (with ethics approval through your university)
  • Sessions comparing characters, voices, art styles and story lengths
  • Analysis and clear, usable findings for designers and artists

What you get

  • Co-supervision alongside your university supervisor
  • Your name on the findings, and the option to publish
